About

Who am I? What am I doing? I am a higher education faculty librarian at New York Tech specializing in libraries and search literacy. I am an independent thinker, online educator and expert learner.

The central organizing theme of my career is to identify initiatives and projects that innovate and further develop 21st Century libraries.
Over the past few years, specific research topics have included: strategic library planning, information retrieval and the web, and Communities of Practice (CoP).

Currently, I am writing a book about search skills, learning how to use Google and artificial intelligence effectively, and learning how to do research.

You can follow me on Mastodon and Bluesky. Or subscribe to my newsletter Searchitup.us.
